The 2017 Kia Sorento is equipped and ready for adventure. With its wide stance and long wheelbase the Sorento offers optimal cabin space. The Sorento does offer third row seating and because the second row seats slide forward, the third row is easily accessible. Fold the third row down and you have ample cargo space.
And when loading cargo, the Sorento now has a hands-free Smart Power Liftgate.
The Kia is not only a comfortable ride but the Panoramic Sunroof will bring open sky to the open road. Kia likes to call it ‘The Great Indoors.’ And speaking of indoors, you have a choice of nappa leather or an interior cloth that is a quick drying fabric that resist stains, reduces static and can even help eliminate odors. We asked and Kia delivered. The Sorento is great for keeping you charged on the go. There are 8 outlets in the vehicle.
The Sorento is full of technology and safety features. The Surround View Monitor (SVM) is great for maneuvering in tight spots with the aid of Rear Parking Assist System (RPAS). Cameras and sensors work together to guide you.
The Sorento received a 5-star safety rating from the NHTSA.
Three driving modes are available on the Sorento, ‘Normal,’ ‘Eco,’ and ‘Sport.’
Three engine options are available as well. This year, Kia introduces the new 2.0-liter turbo engine, giving drivers who crave more power and performance an extra boost. If brisk acceleration is what you want you got it with Kia’s enhanced torque but the turbo technology will also help optimize fuel efficiency.
The 2017 Sorento pricing begins at $25,600.
*FYI: As the owner of a 2014 Kia Sorento I can advise you to have your BCM (Body Control Module) checked. I was having issues with the battery draining. My dealership had me bring the vehicle in, replaced the BCM and it’s as good as new. I love that Kia stands behind their vehicles.
