The 2017 Lexus GX 460 is a three row, seven passenger, quiet, luxurious SUV that is fully capable of off-roading. It can climb hills and still have no trouble accelerating to pass traffic on the highway. It’s nice that a luxury SUV has off-road capability without sacrificing a smooth ride.
You will enjoy the quiet cabin and the smooth ride from the GX 460 and new for 2017, you may also enjoy heated and ventilated front seats on the base model. The Sport Design package is new as well and provides a rear bumper spoiler, rear taillight graphics, 18-inch alloy wheels and a distinct exhaust tip. Other packages available are a Navigation package, a Driver Support package or a Mark Levinson Premium Surround Sound Audio package.
The engine is a 4.6-liter V-8 with 301 hp and 329 lb-ft of torque. What you may not enjoy is the fuel economy. The GX 460 gets 15 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway.
Cargo space is plentiful in the Lexus GX 460. When the power-folding third row seats are raised, there is little cargo space but fold those seats up and you have nearly 65 cubic feet of space. You will only find a high grade of leather inside the Lexus, along with a wood trim pattern that is hand crafted. This SUV is generous with cabin space for all passengers.
