Interstate Batteries and Toyota are at it again. They are using the ‘Driving for Good’ campaign to do good deeds around the town. Just before Thanksgiving in Dallas representatives from Interstate Batteries gave out baskets to families in need. The families were delightfully surprised!
The “Driving for Good” campaign uses cars wrapped in the likeness of yesterday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Kyle Busch’s recognizable race car to perform deeds like delivering meals to the elderly, supporting local school activities and sports teams, performing roadside rescues and more. Mercy Street is a non-profit founded in 2003 out of the desire to break the cycle of poverty in West Dallas through the gospel. West Dallas has historically high poverty and high-school dropout rates, as well as limited access to affordable, healthy food. For more, www.mercystreetdallas.org
